In 1984 I began the company as a handyman service provider for a small community on the outskirts of Houston, Texas.  Being a third generation carpenter/remodeler I was fortunate enough to have been taught the "tricks of the trade" by my father and grandfather.

 

Along with being taught that the "value of a job done well" far exceeds the "value of the all mighty dollar" I also learned that by keeping the customer happy and giving them their "moneys worth" they would  continue to do business with you and also tell their friends about the quality of the work you do.

 

Using these lessons, my business grew alot faster than I expected and the jobs became larger and more time consuming. I had to hire extra help, (my wife and 2 of my pre-teen sons) to keep up with the demands.  My reputation somehow extended south to Galveston and I was honored to help with the remodeling of the Galveston Historical District during the early 90's.

 

A divorce in the mid 90's gave me the opportunity for change. My father, living in the Oregon Mountains convinced me that my talents were needed there so I made the move.  The wet climate and change in altitude took its toll on me and in 1998 I left and somehow ended up in Colorado Spring.  Working in the apartment maintenance field until 2002 I managed to get things set in order to reestablish MacNeil Enterprises here in the Springs.  In 2004 I joined the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado. 

 

Some of my jobsites would include The Double Tree Hotel, the new Adelphia Customer Service Center, newly built Qdoba's, Target and Walgreens stores, remodeling of Prime Time Tavern, Vern's (what is now Bijou Bar and Grill), remodeling of the old Sear's store for the hospital administration building along with several local home builders.  Residential work spans from Fountain. to Parker, all the way to Woodland Park and Monument.

 

I still continue doing business with the same ethics that I learned from from my father and grandfather to this day.  I stand behind my work 100% and there have been no complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau against my company.
